Description:
The 1970 Mach 1 is one of the most sought after Mustangs of all time. Originally Red with a White deluxe interior. Restored the car would not only be beautiful, it would just scream low end torque and high end speed with a blower added. This car would make a great project car for someone interested in being a part of Ford's Mustang heritage. The Body is fairly straight, a few dents here and there. No big surprises.
As you can see the back window is missing, but we have some in stock so for a little extra, we can ship one with the car.
This came with a very powerful Windsor engine, and FMX transmission and 3.00 standard axle ratio. The 1970 Windsor heads were made for some heavy breathing to produce high horsepower with the right combination. 351 Windsor is present, but probably needs a rebuild and the engine bay should be cleaned up while engine is at the shop.
This Mustang has it’s original power steering, power brakes, and original rocker panel moldings as well as honey comb tail light panel – one of the most distinctive features of this model and year. The torque boxes seem to be in good condition as do the frame rails front and rear. A couple of small rust spots, but basically this car is almost ready for paint.
The dash is in Ok condition it shows signs of wear and some sun damage. Built September 18th, 1969 one day ahead of schedule. |
